According to the Associated Press, the Philadelphia 76ers have signed veteran center Tony Battie. Battie looks to bring in veteran leadership and add depth to the team’s young and rising roster.

The terms of Battie’s deal with the team weren’t announced.

Battie is a twelve-year veteran who has averaged 6.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in his career. He most recently played for the Orlando Magic and their Eastern Conference champion squad.

Battie played with the Nets last season and only played 15 games. He hopes to do a lot more coming into Philly.
