Richard Jefferson looked like he had high hopes when he was coming into San Antonio to play for the Spurs during the 2009-10 season. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. He struggled in the team’s system.
So, hence, he opted out. But, according to the Associated Press, the small forward has re-signed with the team. The veteran swingman would have made $15 million last year, but it seems he will be making more now.
Jefferson averaged 12.3 points per game, his lowest total since his rookie season. If Jefferson wants to lead this veteran core to a championship, he’s going to have to play a lot better.
